For her wedding in Château de Bonnemare France, beautiful bride Akua got her ceremony dress elsewhere, but trusted me with her silky wedding reception dress for which I am forever grateful. She was inspired by the style and femininity of Grace Kelly and the Hollywood glamour era, this is often my source of inspiration as well. So we were already on the same wave length.

Silk wedding dress Grace Kelly inspired
For Akua's reception wedding dress we got inspired by Grace Kelly famous movie dress. Both me and the bride loved her and her timeless style and elegance. I chose sheer chiffon fabric that is mix with silk but not fully silk so it wouldn't get wrinkled too much during the dance reception. She wanted it very well draped and I always wonder if we will be able to see all the details of the dress in the wedding pictures later. Especially if it's all white wedding dress. Because of that concern I recommended to underline the white chiffon with a very specific shade of grey that blends in perfectly with the body but creates a little contrast for the drapes to show. During her initial design appointment she fell in love with a similar dress I made for the new 2025 bridal collection called Aurora and decided to add the same sparkly underlay as well. Impressed by the glitter tulle akua also wore sparkly shoes.
So at the end we had a proper Cinderella dancing the night away style of a dress which we love to bits.
