WELCOME TO MY WORLD
From a young age, I was destined to become a fashion designer and creator, influenced by my family's legacy. Growing up in a secluded area, my fairy tale books filled with stunning illustrations and my dolls were my only companions. The art of sewing, knitting, and embroidering was instilled in me by the women in my family, my grandmother and mother, long before I learned to read. Meanwhile, the men in my family passed down their technical knowledge and curiosity understanding construction, along with a passion for photography.
I consider myself fortunate to be among the last generations raised in a world without technology and the internet, fostering original thought and self sufficiency.
Later in the bustling capital I was captivated by the elegance and technical knowledge of designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and the one who inspired me to study fashion in university Alexander McQueen. The last true creator of our times.
STYLISTIC VISION: As a designer I absolutely love colour. When I moved into Bridal Fashion I was uncertain how I was going to limit myself to just one colour in my work. But through research I discovered that the white wedding dress is a relatively new tradition which was cemented in British fashion after Queen Victoria’s wedding in 1840. This gave me the confidence to break some rules and make sure I always give a choice of colour in my collections as well. and when it has to be a white dress i make sure to play with the light and texture and create fabric combinations that break a little bit of the tradition as well.
INSPIRATION: London is a world fashion capital for a reason. Here we have the best materials coming from all over the world - silks, couture fabrics, handmade brocades from India, unique lace from France and fabrics rich in details, beading and embroidery from Italy. But my biggest inspiration are the people from all over the world that live here and I meet every day. They take me through their unique stories, culture and their own vision about design every day. This is what constantly changes me and makes me look for new ideas and create.

“I found my dress in Blackburn Bridal in Blackheath, by Margo Stankova. The thing that drew me to it was the colour and all the beautiful pearl embellishment. Initially I had envisaged a more slim silhouette, but the warm peachy tones and layers of tulle won me over and I knew it was the dress for me.”“I went directly to the designer so that I could add a few extra details to make it perfect for me. Margo added in clusters of pearl embellishment on some of the under-layers of tulle so it added real depth to the dress. I chose a blush pink single layer tulle veil for the ceremony, which I felt added a romantic ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ look, but I took this off and swapped it for bigger BHLDN earrings and red lips before the evening celebrations kicked off.
